This course is open to all HCTP graduates and current students.

You should expect to devote 2–3 hours per week to the modules and assignments, plus another 1–2 hours connecting with staff and classmates in the course Facebook group, which is your 24/7 support system. The more time you put into this course, the more you will get out of it!

Yes. Similar to the Health Coach Training Program, this course is entirely online. It consists of a combination of videos, handouts, homework assignments, and daily moderated discussions on Facebook. The handouts are available to download and print, if you choose.

At the end of the program, you'll receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge to publicly showcase your education. Because the course does not alter your scope of practice, your title won't change. The information provided in this course (including information about any testing, protocols, or supplements) is for educational purposes only and will help you work effectively alongside physicians and other healthcare practitioners.

The course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Upon successful completion of the course (70% or higher on both tests), you will receive a certificate of completion.

Tuition is $995 for students who pay the full amount upfront. We offer 2 payment plans for those who would prefer to pay their tuition in installments. You can choose between 2 payments of $550 or 3 payments of $375. Your first payment will be due upon registration, and subsequent payments will be processed two months after the last payment.

Email and a member of our Student Success team will get back to you shortly! Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern Time.
The Coaching Intensive Practicum was created exclusively for IIN grads to complete the education requirements set forth by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) to be eligible to take the credentialing exam to become a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). This course bridges the gap between the Health Coach Training Program and exam eligibility.
The Coaching Intensive Practicum is open to all alumni who have completed the Health Coach Training Program. If you are a current student, you must wait to graduate before enrolling. For the best chance of securing a spot in the next course following your graduation, we recommend joining the priority wait list to receive information on upcoming course registration and open dates.
No. Upon successful completion of this course, IIN graduates are eligible to apply to sit for the certification exam offered by the NBHWC. Students interested in applying should consult NBHWC in advance of their course graduation date to take note of application requirements and registration deadlines. If you are planning to take the certifying exam in February 2020, you must submit a completed application to NBHWC no later than October 30, 2019. Extensions cannot be granted, and all students are responsible for reviewing the application requirements and working directly with NBHWC to complete their application in a timely manner.
Yes! This course can benefit any Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who wants to learn about evidence-based best practices for working with clients and have an opportunity to practice their skills and receive constructive feedback in an intimate learning environment.
The course consists of six modules. Unless there is a holiday break (indicated on your Course Schedule), the class is six weeks long.
The Coaching Intensive Practicum is based on a live, interactive learning experience. There are two live 90-minute group calls every week (for a total of 12 webinars). These calls will be recorded and available on the Learning Center for replay, but your live attendance is mandatory to pass the course.

Each week, you will also gain access to a new module on the Learning Center, which will include several prerecorded lectures, a self-assessment quiz, a module recap, optional recommended reading, and an occasional handout or reading assignment.
For your convenience, we are currently offering morning, afternoon, and evening sections of the course. At the time of enrollment, you will be able to choose your preferred section, assuming it has not already reached capacity. Be sure to select a time that you can commit to as you will only be able to attend the calls for that class section and we are not able to accommodate transfers under any circumstances. You’ll be able to view available dates and times and select your sessions on the checkout page once you click Enroll Now on this site.
We suggest allowing 5–7 hours per week for this course. Each week, you’ll spend approximately 1–2 hours reviewing module content, 3 hours on the live group calls, and 30–60 minutes doing practice sessions. We also encourage you to spend an hour or so each week in the course Facebook group, participating in discussion questions, reviewing any helpful links or materials that have been posted, and seeking support and mentorship from our experienced coach instructors.

Please keep in mind that this estimate does not include time spent studying for the certifying exam nor does it include time spent putting together your exam application or completing the coaching log hours that are required as part of the NBHWC’s application.
No, this is not a test prep course. This course presents you with information that you are required to learn to be eligible to take the certifying exam. Simply put: Not everything you learn in this course will be on the exam and not everything on the exam will be presented in this course. All students are responsible for preparing themselves adequately and studying to the extent that they deem necessary to successfully complete the certifying exam.
Yes! NBHWC has prepared and posted an exam content outline to help applicants prepare for their upcoming exam. Please note that IIN has no affiliation with this content outline but does recommend it as a resource to guide your studies.
No. The application and exam fees collected by the NBHWC during the application process are unrelated to, and not included in, the tuition for this course.
Your title will not change as a result of completing this course. While you will receive a digital certificate of completion, this course was designed to fulfill the education prerequisite for IIN graduates to be able to apply for the NBHWC certification exam. Completing this course does not grant you certification nor does it guarantee your acceptance to take the NBHWC certification exam.

For more information on application requirements for the exam, please visit the NBHWC exam information page.
The NBHWC mandates a low teacher-to-student ratio so that all students have ample time to complete their practice demo, participate in class discussions, and receive a high degree of mentoring and support. This is IIN’s most intimate learning environment, and our students love it!

Add your name to the priority list and we'll inform you as soon as the next class is open for enrollment.
